As a Senior Python FastAPI Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing the core backend systems that fuel our intelligent platform. You’ll architect robust APIs, build scalable data pipelines, and contribute to the AI interaction layer that makes sustainability and compliance data truly actionable.
🚀 What You’ll Do
- Design and implement high-performance, production-grade APIs using Python and FastAPI
- Architect scalable backend services for processing environmental, sustainability, and compliance data
- Build systems for real-time monitoring and intelligent alert generation based on AI-recognized patterns
- Develop data pipelines for ESG metrics and automated regulatory reporting
- Create natural language query layers to interface with AI agents for compliance data
- Integrate AI/ML models into backend processes for advanced insight generation
- Optimize APIs for real-time responsiveness and large-scale data throughput
- Research and process unstructured ESG disclosures for meaningful structuring
- Deploy and scale infrastructure using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Lead architectural decision-making and guide technical implementation across projects
🛠 Tech Stack & Required Skills
- Advanced Python programming, especially for AI-powered applications
- FastAPI for building high-performance REST APIs
- Experience with AI/ML model integration
- SQL and NoSQL database experience (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Asynchronous programming for alerting and real-time systems
- Cloud services expertise (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for scalable deployments
- Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Strong understanding of API security, authentication, and compliance standards
- Familiarity with ESG frameworks, sustainability metrics, or regulatory data is a plus
🎓 Qualifications
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Python development
- Proven experience using FastAPI (or similar frameworks) in production environments
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure for AI-integrated systems
- Background in compliance, sustainability, or environmental data processing is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working on AI-driven platforms or agent-based architectures is a strong plus
